Pharmacy Plaza Campaign

Did you know that buying a brick with your name or the name of a loved one engraved on it can make a contribution to the future of pharmacy education at Auburn University? We'd all like to find a way to leave a lasting impression. Almost all of us have thought about that. This is your opportunity to do something about it and support your school at the same time. Sounds like a win-win situation, doesn't it? And consider what some of us would be without our moms and dads who worked so hard to give us opportunities in life. Clarence Kelland said of his father, "He didn't tell me how to live; he lived, and let me watch him do it." If you feel that same kind of pride in your parents or grandparents, you may want to consider this original way of honoring them. This is also the perfect way to give that hard-to-buy-for Auburn Pharmacist a unique birthday or anniversary surprise. Another idea is to honor one of your favorite professors. A group might pitch in to remember their class. There are a great many possibilities once you start to think about it. Better yet, it's tax deductible. Win-win? Yes, indeed!

Here's how it works: For $500 you can purchase a brick, with your name or the name of a loved one, which will be installed outside the Walker Building on the east plaza facing Samford Tower. These bricks will be here for your unborn grandchildren and their great great grandchildren to see. Not many of us can have our names or the names of our parents put up on huge buildings. But this humble red adobe brick, with an honored name carved into it, will become just as much a lasting memorial. Life is short! Why not make a positive move today that will leave a lasting impression for innumerable tomorrows? Spring 2008 Health Care Web Cast - April 20
A web cast is a convenient way of attending one's Continuing Education courses these days. This one features four expert presenters covering numerous topics on Complimentary and Alternative Medicines.  It should prove to be most interesting. A registration form and more information can be found at:  http://www.pharmacy.auburn.edu/news_events/2007-2008/sp08_webcast_flyer.pdf
