Brenda Evans, the dean's wife, has handcrafted another beauty of a quilt this year to raise money for the Student Travel Fund. She  keeps outdoing herself each year with her vibrant, Auburn flavored patchworks creations. This year is no exception. The quilt will be on display and tickets will be available at the Golf Tournament on September 26th and at the tailgate on the 27th. But if you'd like, you can also contact Jennifer Delmore or Jimmy Harris, our development team, for tickets. Email Jennifer at

Annual Alumni Tailgates Info for the AU/TENNESSEE Game -- September 27
Simply mouthwatering!
Come by the HSOP tailgate tent for a taste of Memphis dry ribs, BBQ chicken, baked beans, potato salad and two -- count 'em -- TWO desserts: coconut pie and chocolate iced cake. That's about as Southern as it gets, folks. You cannot possibly go to the game hungry after such a fabulous spread provided by Wilton Catering. Many thanks to Walgreens for sponsored this event. Non-alcoholic drinks will also be provided. The tailgate will begin at 11 a.m. and end at 2 p.m. The tent is in the usual place, at the west end of the Pharmacy Building. Two other tailgates are coming up soon: AU vs. Arkansas (sponsored by CVS) and AU vs. Georgia (sponsored by Wal-Mart). Auburn Alums Honored at 2008 APA ConventionNeal Presley (R) wins APA's Distinguished Young Pharmacist Award presented by David Darby.
Phillip Rigsby (L), shown with Jimmy Harris, receives APA's Distinguished Service Award. We recently reported on David Darby, '82, winning the Lester White Good Government Award at the Alabama Pharmacy Association's annual convention and trade show. We didn't have photos of two other winners at that same event. Phillip Rigsby, '00, left, won the Distinguished Service Award and Neal Presley, '03, right, won the Distinguished Young Pharmacist Award. Actually Neal could not attend the event because of a new baby in his family. We had to get these photos for you after the meeting. Therefore Phillip is being congratulated by Jimmy Harris and Neal is being congratulated by David Darby. Thanks for these photos goes to Jimmy Harris and Larry Presley,'65, who described himself as "proud father."
