Basic Information

HOW DO I TRANSFER MY PRESCRIPTIONS TO THE AU EMPLOYEE PHARMACY?

NEW PATIENTS

If you have never had a prescription filled at the AU Employee Pharmacy, then we will need you to complete a new patient form:

  1. This form can be picked up from the AU Employee Pharmacy, 2150 Walker Building, Harrison School of Pharmacy, War Eagle Way (formerly Dormitory Drive, Auburn University, AL or it can be downloaded from http://pharmacy.auburn.edu/aupcc/pharmacy/new_patient_form.htm.

  2. Complete all information on the form. Be sure to clearly indicate your current pharmacy name, address, city, and phone number.

  3. Make a copy of your insurance card.

  4. FAX the completed form and the copy of the insurance card to the AU Employee Pharmacy at (334) 844-8983.

  5. An AU Employee Pharmacy pharmacist will call the pharmacy (or pharmacies) that you indicated on your form to transfer all of your prescriptions to the AU Employee Pharmacy.

  6. It may take several work days before we will have your medications transferred. However, we will work as quickly as possible to get your prescriptions transferred. If you anticipate needing any of your medications immediately, please let us know when you request the transfer.
  7. Once your medications have been transferred, you may request refills.

ESTABLISHED PATIENTS

If you have previously filled a prescription at the AU Employee Pharmacy:

You can simply e-mail the AU Employee Pharmacy at tigermeds@auburn.edu, FAX us at (334) 844-8983, or call the pharmacy at 334-844-8938 so we may transfer the additional prescriptions. An AU Employee Pharmacy pharmacist will call the pharmacy (or pharmacies) that you indicated to transfer all of your prescriptions to the AU Employee Pharmacy.

WHERE IS THE AU EMPLOYEE PHARMACY LOCATED?

The AU Employee Pharmacy is located on the second floor (Room 2150) of the Auburn University Harrison School of Pharmacy in the Walker Building on the main campus (see map below).

  • If entering the Walker Building from the front entrance (West Thach Avenue), you will enter on the first floor. Proceed up the central staircase and the Auburn University Employee Pharmacy will be on your right at the top of the staircase in room number 2150 Walker Building. An elevator is available in the atrium of the building to the left of the staircase for your convenience.

  • If entering the Walker Building from the back entrance on War Eagle Way (formerly Dormitory Drive), you will enter on the second floor. There will be a receptionist desk on the left. Proceed past the desk, and the Employee Pharmacy will be on your left in room number 2150 Walker Building.

  • If you have any trouble finding the pharmacy, please call (334)844-8938.

WHERE DO I PARK?

  1. There are 5 parking spaces on War Eagle Way (formerly Dormitory Drive) directly behind the Walker Building that are reserved for the Auburn University Pharmaceutical Care Center (AUPCC) and AU Employee Pharmacy.

  2. These spots are marked with signs that read: "RESTRICTED PARKING-Client Parking with Permit Only."

  3. Park in one of these spaces and then come immediately to the AU Employee Pharmacy. We will provide a parking permit for use of these spaces.

  4. You will need to return to your car and display this parking permit on the dashboard of your car.
  5. There are also several handicap parking places available next to the rear entrance of the Walker building on War Eagle Way (formerly Dormitory Drive).

  6. The other parking on War Eagle Way (formerly Dormitory Drive) and in the Lowder Business Building lot are zoned "A" and "B."

  7. The Walker Building is within walking distance of the parking deck located near the Jordan Hare Stadium and the new student center.

CAN I GET MY PRESCRIPTIONS DELIVERED?

The AU Employee Pharmacy offers free on-campus delivery (including the Vet School and the Facilities Complex).  Delivery requests must be received by 4:45pm on the day prior to delivery.
